Introduction

The Educational Policies Committee (EPC) of Sonoma State University is requesting input from interested stakeholders about the proposed discontinuance of the Physical Education (PE) and the Adapted Physical Education (APE) concentrations in the Kinesiology degree offered by SSU.

The proposal has already been reviewed and recommended by the School of Science and Technology Curriculum Committee, the Dean of the School of Science and Technology, and EPC.

The proposal is now under review by the Educational Policies Committee, which will result in a recommendation to the Academic Senate regarding the proposed discontinuance.

As a part of this process, EPC is gathering comments from stakeholders. In addition, a public hearing on the discontinuance proposal will be held on February 4, 2016, 12:20- 12:50 pm, 1040 Stevenson Hall, SSU campus.
